A few words about us
Golightly Constructions is a creative team of custom builders, carpenters and local trades led by registered builder, Matt Golightly. Established in 2015, with the goal of bringing dream homes into the everyday. Golightly Constructions is now one of the sought-after builders on the Bellarine.
A qualified carpenter and registered builder, Matt was born and bred in Point Lonsdale and has a passion for the local area. It is this passion, coupled with extensive knowledge of the building process from over 12 years’ experience in the construction industry. This motivates Matt to deliver quality builds that fit seamlessly with the wonderful lifestyle the Bellarine offers. When he is not on a building site, you will find him in one of his sheds working on more furniture, mowing the lawns, spending time with his two children and occasionally sneaking off to go skiing.
Matt’s passion for timber work began with a hobby. Designing and creating custom furniture, Matt now brings his expert craftmanship and fine eye for detail to every new build he undertakes. Growing up working in family business, he has always been driven to exceed expectations. This is reflected in the remarkably high quality of homes he has constructed.
A self-described ‘small town guy’ who loves a chat and a laugh (he thinks his humour is second to none), Matt prides himself on exceptional communication. You can be assured he will keep you updated with each piece of progress on your build – from quoting through to receiving your keys.
