The Building Process

We know building or renovating a home is one of life’s biggest decisions (and investments!) and we aim to make it as seamless (and stress-less) as possible by offering a collaborative and personalised process. Clear and continuous communication is our speciality and we will work alongside you every step of the way to ensure your home turns out just as you envisaged.

Your building journey should be exciting so we have broken down the construction process into 9 simple steps so you know what to expect and can begin to get excited about your new home. Our straightforward and open approach to your build means you will feel confident throughout the entire process.

We will support you through the building process from planning through to handover and you will be kept up to date with our progress, every step of the way.

First Steps

Get in touch with us via phone or email to discuss your vision

Meet

We can then arrange a no-obligation site meeting to nut out the finer details – we can talk about your ideas, your budgets and answer any questions you may have. We will provide you with further insight into how the process might look and how long it might take

Plans

If you have plans and permits ready to go, we will prepare a comprehensive quote including all provisional sums and cost price allowances. We can continue to customise this quote until you are feeling happy and ready to go.

Quote

If you are unsure where to start, we can work with you to organise architectural drawings, engineers plans and a permit. We can work with you and one of our local architects to find out about your lifestyle and any specific requirements your need in your new home. Once plans are finalised and permits received, we will prepare a comprehensive quote including all provisional sums and cost price allowances. We can continue to customise this quote until you are feeling happy and ready to go.

Contract

If you agree with your quote and wish to go ahead with the build a contract is written up, reviewed and signed by both parties and you pay a 5% deposit.

Let's Build!

Now it’s time for the fun stuff: your build commences! You will be a part of all major interior design decisions and all progress is communicated to you. This is your project so site visits, inspections and questions are always welcome (depending on where the project is at, this may need to be pre-arranged). During construction, progress payments will be made as per your contract.

Inspect

When your new home is complete, you will conduct a final inspection with Matt to ensure your vision has come to life. Anything that may need some last minute attention is noted and agreed upon by both parties.

Handover

When you are happy, handover is completed. Matt will provide you with your keys, compliance certificates, warranties, remote controls, appliance instructions and anything else you need to know.

Warranty

Matt will check in after you have moved into your new home to ensure you are still happy. Your new build comes with a 7 year warranty so we please keep in touch following your handover date
